The reason I chose Fahrenheit 451 as my choice for this forum post was because it was one of the few books that I actually enjoyed reading. The main character of this novel is Guy Montag. He is the protagonist because the novel revolves around him. He is also dynamic, because he completely changes throughout the book. He evolves from being a book hating book burner to trying to save the books. He is a round character. Through direct and indirect characterizations throughout the book, we see his physical appearance as well as his emotions and behaviors and whatnot. My second character is Captain Beatty. He is the antagonist of the novel because he is against Guy Montag and tries to stop him from reading books. He is round because we learn about his past throughout the book and not just his physical appearance. He is a static character, because from the beginning until the end, he is stubborn and does not change his views on books, even though he has read books and knows all about them.
